🌿 Plant Care Tips – Spiritual Green

At Spiritual Green, we believe that plants are not just decor – they are living beings that bring life, peace, and positivity into your space. Whether you’re a first-time plant parent or a seasoned gardener, these essential care tips will help your plants stay healthy and happy.

☀️ 1. Right Light is the Key

  • Place plants where they get suitable sunlight:

    • 🌤️ Bright Indirect Light – for indoor plants like Snake Plant, Money Plant, Areca Palm

    • ☀️ Direct Sunlight – for outdoor or sun-loving plants like Hibiscus, Tulsi, Aloe Vera

  • Rotate your plants once a week for even growth.

💧 2. Watering Wisely

*Always check soil moisture before watering. Stick your finger 1 inch into the soil:

      • If it feels dry, water the plant.

      • If it’s still moist, wait.

    • Overwatering is the most common reason for plant death. When in doubt, water less.

🪴 3. Choose the Right Pot & Drainage

  • Ensure pots have drainage holes to prevent root rot.

  • Use well-draining soil mixes depending on plant type (succulents, indoor foliage, herbs etc.)

🌡️ 4. Temperature & Humidity

    • Most indoor plants prefer a temperature between 18–30°C.

    • Keep them away from direct AC air, heaters, or very dry corners.

    • For humidity-loving plants (like Ferns or Peace Lily), occasional misting helps.

🌱 5. Fertilizing for Growth

Feed your plants with organic compost or liquid fertilizer once every 20–30 days. Avoid over-fertilizing, especially during winters.

🧼 6. Keep Leaves Clean

  • Gently wipe leaves with a damp cloth to remove dust.

  • This helps the plant “breathe” better and also improves appearance.

✂️ 7. Pruning & Deadheading

Regularly remove yellow or dead leaves.

    • Trim overgrown stems to maintain shape and promote new growth.

❤️ 8. Talk to Your Plants

Yes, it works! Plants respond to love, touch, and care. Giving them attention regularly helps you notice early signs of stress.

📌 Bonus Tips:

  • Use clay pots for better breathability.

  • Group plants together to create a microclimate.

  • Label your plants to remember care needs.

  • Keep a small spray bottle handy for quick misting.
